written by Trevacious. Last Updated 2/26/07 08:00 [Chinese]

It's pretty good, and has a nice subtle taste.

INGREDIENTS

Beef:
2 t soy sauce
1/4 t sugar
1/4 t salt
3/4 lb. leftover beef, or boneless sirloin cut in 1/4 inch slices

Sauce:
1 T cornstarch
1 T soy sauce
1 T medium-dry Sherry or Scotch (I've used Mirin)
1/4 c chicken/beef broth
1 t sugar
2 t sesame oil
3 T vegetable oil
1 T gingerroot, peeled and minces
1 T garlic, minced
1/2 T red pepper flakes, or one fresh chili
1 lb broccoli

DIRECTIONS

Prepare beef:
-In a small bowl stir together the soy sauce, sugar, and salt, add the beef, and let marinate for 20 minutes.

Make the sauce while the beef is marinating:
-In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the soy sauce and stir in the Sherry, the broth, the sugar, and sesame oil.
