Located on 4th Street in the Warehouse district of downtown Austin is the trendy Tapas and Wine bar, Målaga. Though they may not have iced tea, they sure make up for it with the wine and spirits selection.
I highly recommend the Queso de Cabra Frito con Miel which is breaded and fried goat cheese which spreads wonderfully on the little pieces of toast. Though tapas can be an expensive meal, you will get the most bang for your buck with the generous portion of Costillitas de Res a la Rioja which are braised shortribs with rice. The calamari is also worth getting in terms of price and is probably my favorite dish there.
I've been here many times with different sized groups. If you want to get full without spending a lot of money, I'd suggest taking only a date. For a more social time, double date. I also suggest that you get 2-3 dishes per person. Just a bit of warning: it can get really crowded and loud (there's a live band next door) on the weekends at night.
