Bouchon (Las Vegas, NV)
written by TimUT78. Last Updated 2/26/07 17:49 [French]

This is one of Tom Keller's restaurants at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. They serve contemporary French bistro food. I've been to many restaurants, and this has been one of--if not the best dining experience I ever had.

As always, we asked the server what he liked. Instead, he took our menus and provided us with a surprise 3 course meal that was totally scrumptuous. Each dish he chose was absolutely delicious. The server also brought a drink with each course which again was paired perfectly. Though (in this rare case) money was not my main concern, he kept recommending drink pairings to us (and patrons at other tables that were) that were of fine caliber yet affordable. They also had a sommelier on hand to make recommendations.

Instead of the standard bread and butter accompaniment, we got bread and a French mustard which was superb--I wanted to take some home with me. The staff was consistently attentive--always filling my water glass and scraping the crumbs.

Though a bit pricey, I highly recommend this restaurant. If you go, ask to sit in Paul's section. Food: 9/10, Service 10/10, Ambience 9/10

This restaurant is not in the main part of the Venetian. It's in the Venezia tower. You have to take the elevator up to it.
